Avista Technologies Impact Together: The Colorado River Basin Project - ARCHIVED

WRC and Avista Sustainability Initiative

San Marcos, CA – August 25, 2023 — Avista Technologies continues their “IMPACT TOGETHER” The Colorado River Basin Project for a second year, to support Kurita and the Water Resilience Coalition’s (WRC) vision for global water resilience achieved by helping water basins consistently supply high-quality and fresh water needed for communities, businesses, and the entire ecosystem.

This project is an opportunity to help water treatment plants in the Colorado River Basin states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming) reduce their water consumption by optimizing their membrane system process. Avista Technologies technical experts conduct onsite visits to evaluate opportunities to maximize system recovery, enhance operations, and utilize our savings calculators to show the positive environmental and economic impact their recommended solutions may have. A benefit of maintaining membrane health through optimized system performance is maximizing service life, which results in reduced waste created by membrane replacement.

Kurita Water Industries donates based on the estimated water savings for every thousand pounds of  Vitec ™ 3000, 4000, and 7000 supplied by Avista in the Colorado River Basin states. Donations are allocated towards regional and local contributions to help tackle climate change, protect the environment, sustainably provide food and water, and build healthy cities around the Colorado River Basin.

As water-related issues rise worldwide, Avista continues advancing membrane treatment solutions to keep the world blue by thinking differently about customers, products, and markets; placing positive environmental impact at the core of their business. This supports their mission to save water, energy, and the environment with creative chemistry and smart solutions – one membrane at a time. Last year Kurita donated $10,000, this year thegoal is $20,000. If you are located in a Colorado River Basin state, contact your local Avista Representative for more information.
