Session Title
RO System Normalization – Why and What it Tells Us

Session Goal
To help RO System operators improve the performance and life of their membranes. To achieve this goal, we will provide a better understanding of why normalizing RO data is important and what the data is communicating about the system.

Session Description
A review of various changes in normalized permeate flow and conductivity as well as underlying fouling conditions that lead to these symptoms. System operators can gain a better understanding of what to look for in normalized data and how to achieve optimal cleaning results using this information.

Presenter Biography
Tom Imbornone has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Buffalo. He has over 10 years’ experience in the water treatment industry and is an Applications and Sales Specialist for Avista Technologies, Inc. Tom’s expertise in the design, operation, maintenance and optimization of water treatment systems stretches across various industries including power generation, food and beverage, automotive, light industrial, mining, and municipal.
