Since its founding in 1949, Kurita Water Industries has been consistently contributing to the development of industry and society by providing solutions to issues related to water and the environment. Our arena has been expanding from Japan to the world. As a global company, we aim to achieve further growth. Celebrating the 70th anniversary, we are renewing our determination as a leading company in water treatment to create new value and respond to the needs of both society and customers worldwide.

Globalism and the rapid progress in digitalization in recent years have been influencing not only economic and industrial development but also the shape of society itself, having created new issues in the global environment. The environment surrounding us is changing at a tremendous speed. Society is becoming more and more complicated, and the values that are needed are diversifying. We have entered an age of unpredictability.

In this environment, the Kurita Group started to implement the Medium-Term Management Plan, “Maximize Value Proposition 2022 (MVP-22,)” in April 2018. In the plan, we review the missions reflected in our Corporate Philosophy of “Study the properties of water, master them, and we will create an environment in which nature and man are in harmony”, we define CSR as the Kurita Group’s responsibility for its impacts on society, and we position CSR at the heart of its management strategy. While innovations for solving global issues are required, we are making a sustained effort to create value that the Kurita Group shares with society as “a creator of unique value to the solution of water and environment,” as set forth in our Corporate Vision. We position “solving water resource issues,” “sustainable use of energy,” “waste reduction,” and “advance in production technologies in industries” as social issues that we should address. We aspire to identify the essence of the value that is required and achieve value that only Kurita can achieve.

The Kurita Group will continue to provide comprehensive solutions that will create value as a water treatment company engaging in the water treatment chemicals business, water treatment facilities business, and maintenance services in business areas that deal with water and the environment. We aim to maximize customer intimacy and become an entity that is trusted by stakeholders worldwide.
