Avista is seeking a Content Strategist to help create and produce marketing content for our global brand. The Content Strategist will work with design partners and internal experts to support the implementation of marketing campaigns and product launches.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and enforcing a plan for producing content
  • Creating a production schedule, assigning projects and among other responsibilities
  • Working with editors, writers, actors, producers, project managers and other team members to produce content
  • Researching and staying up to date on the latest developments in terms of search engine optimization, content trends and consumer behavior
  • Updating older content to meet new content standards
  • Ensuring consistency across all content, from websites to social media channels and videos
  • Maintaining a calendar of project deadlines and content launch dates
  • Overseeing the development and launch of new content channels

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with content experts to brainstorm ideas for blog posts, articles, video advertisements and design elements to ensure maximum consumer engagement
  • Create content and perform content audits/gap analyses to ensure the uniformity of content
  • Strive to create content that aligns with business goals across Avista social media platforms and websites
  • Responsible for giving presentations in department meetings to propose new content ideas, discuss the progress of current campaigns, and review the results of previous content campaigns

Content Strategist Education, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in field of marketing, communications, advertising, or Associates degree with one-two years’ experience as a content strategist or role like marketing or copywriting.
  • Experience with the various types of content including:
    • Developing articles, advertisements (print/digital), customer success stories, content expert interviews, video tutorials, binge-worthy content (e-books, etc.) and market research to support content development
  • Able to develop plans for content distribution across multiple channels to maximize return (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, word press, Microsoft office)
  • Must be able to audit past content to uncover new ways to use it and maximize past investments or obsolete the content.
